The Nerf N-Strike Stampede Blaster is another top toy expected to be popular for the 2010 Holiday Season. It's considered the best Nerf toy ever and allows lots of fun for kids and adults alike. It's the first fully automatic Nerf Blaster, is easy to put together and features a new pop-out bipod, which doubles as a handle, and a removable shield allowing players to transition to Attack Mode.
The Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS Blaster also comes complete with one six dart Clip and three extended Clips which hold 18 darts each, offering the highest Clip capacity from Nerf yet. The Blaster has an excellent firing range of 25ft or more and uses six "DD" batteries, (which is not includes) can be very heavy for young kids to hold for long due to the amount of batteries used. Includes 60 Clip System darts and does not shoot manually, so remember to get the batteries before giving it to the child. Recommended for kids 8yrs and up.

- Overall, I love this gun. It looks cool, it has good distance, and fun to use. Basically, I think that every Nerf lover needs this gun. I'm happy to see Nerf improving in leaps and bounds.
- Overall, the Stampede ECS is a lot of fun, but probably not for everyone. For the downside, this thing is quite huge. Depending on how big your kid is, I'm not sure an 8 or 9 year old would enjoy handling this beast. Aside from the size, it's also heavy especially with 6 D batteries. The batteries alone are heavy.
- Nerf does such a great job with its dart toys, and this is no exception. It meets all the important criteria: it is fun to play with; it works as advertised; and, it doesn't destroy your house, your child's clothes, or the child.
